A working meeting on the subject of the Law on Changes and Amendments to the Law on Concessions was held

A working meeting of representatives of the Concession Commission of the Republic of Srpska with the representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Mining on the topic of the Law on Changes and Amendments to the Law on Concessions was held.

On October 11th 2019 in the premises of the Concession Commission of the Republic of Srpska, a working meeting was held on the subject of the Law on Changes and Amendments to the Law on Concessions. The meeting was attended by:

  1. Petar Djokic, Minister of Energy and Mining in the Government of Republic of Srpska,

  3. Slavica Bogdanovic, Assistant Minister
  4. Milan Bastinac, Assistant Minister

Minister Petar Djokic and the President of the Commission stated that it is necessary to have joint cooperation between the two institutions, exchange of interests and experiences, with aim of the general interest of the Republic. Minister Djokic pointed out that the concession activities continue, Republic of Srpska still has unused capacities in the field of energy and mining, which need to be engaged. The approaches are clear, defined and open to anyone who wants to collaborate. Djokic emphasized that we all form a single system of government and that the goal of all of us is efficiency and putting into operation the realization of the general goals of the Republic of Srpska.

President of the Commission, professor doctor Radenko Djurica pointed out that a new Document on Concessions Policy was being drafted and that it was necessary to cooperate with local communities, municipalities and cities, which has largely been done so far. The President also emphasized that a series of meetings with representatives of municipalities and cities are planned in order to receive specific information on available resources.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister emphasized once again that each of the participating parties will do everything in its power to improve joint cooperation. It was also said that we should not be afraid when we have good intentions and we protect the common interests and that the goal of all of us is the same, and that is to improve the effects of concession activities.
